Rezones for 2030 General Plan Consistency

After four years of public engagement and hard work, the City of Sacramento adopted the 2030 General Plan on March 3, 2009.  One of the top priority implementation measures of the plan is to rezone properties consistent with the Land Use and Urban Form Diagram included in the new General Plan.  View FAQs.

Rezone Maps/ Property Lists

The following property rezones were approved by Council on October 27, 2009. They can be viewed in the maps and list below:  

1. To find completed rezones in your neighborhood, first refer to the map key, located below, for your map number.

2. Then, click on the name of the map you wish to view from the list below or click directly on the Map Area. Each map graphically depicts the rezones. These maps show general rezone areas, not specific properties.

3. If you are interested in a list of specific properties that were rezoned, click on the "Master Properties List" link at the bottom of this section.

Public Outreach

The City held three public workshops on rezones in the north, central, and south sections of Sacramento at the following dates and locations:

 

An informational report on the results of the public workshops was delivered to the Planning Commission on June 11th. The meeting agenda and staff report can be viewed here.

Planning Commission Hearing Date: Thursday, September 24th, 915 I Street, New City Hall, 1st Floor, City Council Chambers, at 5:30pm

City Council Hearing Date: Tuesday, October 27th, 915 I Street, New City Hall, 1st Floor, City Council Chambers, at 6:00pm
