After four years of community outreach, the City Council adopted the 2030 General Plan on March 3, 2009. One of the priority implementation measures of the General Plan was to rezone properties consistent with its Land Use and Urban Form Diagram. This effort resulted in the City Council approving the rezoning of 1,744 parcels and amending the land use designation on 1,154 parcels.
